I chose a picture that I edited and made that meant a lot to me. I then put the code on it and had it direct to my girlfriends instagram account. 

Manipulating Face or Body Through Photoshop

 

I changed the shape of my mouth, for everyone always says how mad or angry I appear and this was the one time I smiled in a picture. Therefore, I changed this smile into a smile and frown mixed together to make myself look as if I have a sick face. I then gave myself bumps on my shoulders just to change more of the photo. I changed the laces on the ball to appear crooked and the "W" on my Wilson glove to be spun within itself. 

I chose to use a picture of my girlfriend, and make everything smaller on her face.

In today's class we were instructed to show the rest of our classmates what we had done so far on our blog. For me, this includes my "About Me", "Photoshop Work", "Photography", and "Drawings".

eBook Cover

 This was our tutorial on how to make a book cover on Abode Indesign. There wasn't a ton to this project off the bat, but then we were instructed to make our own eBook Cover project.

In my own eBook, I wanted to keep this same dark, mean sort of background. In order to do this I used a black and white picture of one of the most iconic places in all of baseball, Fenway Park. After doing this, I thought to myself what baseball really means to me. The most important thing in all of baseball is being with the guys I consider my brothers. Lastly, I thought the most logical spot for the author and the secondary title to be was in the bottom left, in all of the fans. It makes the reader think about the fans just as much they are the players by bringing their attention to them.

    I arrived at the event at approximately 10:55, then left the event at around 12:50/1. There was a mixture of people speaking. The people who did were the president and vice-president of the college. There were two representatives from the 2 Senate spots in West Virginia. The maker of the sculpture spoke and then Ms. Myles spoke on everything and what inspired her thoughts and dreams (The Monkeys). Going back to the performers, the 2 ballet girls were performing on the stage right in front of you when you walk in through all of the displays of art. Seeing all of the different parts of art on display for everyone was very cool, alongside the ribbon cutting. The only things I showcased were my pieces on the walls. I had to be at baseball shortly after, so I had to leave after all of the presentation concluded. Although this was the case, I still loved hearing all of the wonderful things that people had to say about Ms. Myles.

I believe for my personal story map I want to present my hometown. I want to use the smaller places like my house and the areas I own, then small restaurants and stores around us. I feel this would just give people who don't know me background on myself and my family.

- Through the use of ArcGIS, we were able to change the colors of counties depending on the amount of entries that were tracked with no cars to their household. We also changed the topography of the graph, alongside emergency escape routes. After doing this we changed the layout of the map functions and changed the weight of the road and dividing lines in order for it to be more aesthetic to users. 

DAY 1:

Q. Describe a time when you used a geospatial tool to make a decision. Provide specific details. 

- I use a geospatial tool all of the time when my family is out of town and we must find restaurants near us. One just has to look up "restaurants near me" and the web will bring up food places around you. 

Q2. As an individual sensor, how might you contribute to the solution of location-based problems? 

- I may be driving on a road and it could have a tree down on it. The geospatial tool will take this into account and send others on a detour around it. 

NOTES-

- LIDAR Data in order for laser point accuracy and creating. of 3D models. In this example, the city stated that people can't build anything that'll block the view of the mountain. With this device, you can do sightline evaluations in order to see how high the new buildings can go without blocking this view. 

- In the center of delivery centers, the workers can see near exact locations of every driver on duty. 

- Geography is now all about technology that is going to make your life easier and simply better.

DAY 2:

Q. (2) UPS - Choose one of the three applications from the video and describe how the company or community used GIS. Then describe how you feel that this same technology could be applied to your community (or a company that impacts your life in some way.) 

- The people in the center of the company can follow the GPS tracker on the workers device. While they are doing that, the drivers can make changes to the maps or roads in order to be more efficient and safe. 

NOTES-

- Nowadays you can track people with or without them knowing. 

- Powerscene... Through the use of this, they created different territories from roads and mountains to divide them in order for different cultures to live safely. In this example it was Muslims, etc. in Bosnia. 

- They use everything in order to find places for IED's or landing spots for helicopters. 

- When 911 is dialed, GIS is active from the start. There was a robbery at the bank in the middle of the city. The officers can set 1, 3, or 5 minutes perimeters in this example to set up blockades depending on how long the robber had been driving. 

- All sex offenders have to wear a bracelet/anklet in California. They have a GPS unit in this and can make sure they stay the amount of feet, yards, etc. away from what they have to. 

DAY 3: 

Q. This reminds me of... 

- At the beginning of the video it states that people are tracked with or without knowing at some points in their lives. For me, sometimes when I am traveling I forget that my phone is tracking me. If I get to the point where I am looking for things to do or places to eat, Google will use my location to bring places up for me. 

Q2. 3 pros and cons of geospatial technology. 

- Pros (Keep family members safe, Knowledge of closed roads or roadwork, and finding nearby things to do extremely easily)

- Cons (People who you don't want tracking can track you, stalkers can see where you are extremely easily, and sometimes GIS is not updated in certain areas, causing things to become confusing)
